Visaa's
VISA's
Lots of people get confused about Visa's. Most countries will require a visa to enter, and the price, length of stay allowed etc will depend on your nationality, & their agreements with your country. So check on the countries immigration website before you go and find out what visa you need for that country. If you are like me, travelling slowly, when and where you want, you dont need to get lots of visa's in advance. Just get them as you need them.
Each capitol city will have an embassy representing the country you want to go to. Usually the Visa dept opens 9am-12,
Go early, fill in your forms and collect your passport after a couple of days, sometimes quicker if you pay more. Some countries you can do it online too! Some offer Single Entry of Multiple Entry so you can leave & come back.
If you are European You should be similar to the examples below, but do check out immigration websites for yourself

China
As this was our 1st country we got the Chinese Visa at our local Chinese Embassy. You should be able to get yours at whichever embassy is nearest you. Whether in Hanoi, Bangkok or wherever. Do be careful if you are planning on going to Hong Kong. Once you leave mainland China, if you are travelling on a single entry visa, you will be stamped out of China and your visa will be all used up. So either make Hong Kong your first or last stop in China, or have a Multi-entry Visa, otherwise you will have to get another visa in Hong Kong to go back to China! Nepal
